Spark Plug Wires

I bought a wreck of a Rebel (250) and while in very sad shape, it is mostly whole. I have many issues to overcome but one that is particularly puzzling is that the plug wires seem too short and one of the boots is broken. Are these replaceable without replacing the coils? Heck, I may need new coils too, I dunno yet.
Please advise

The boots are replaceable. I believe the wire and coil are a single unit.

Seems odd that the wires don't reach. Are you sure the engine and CDIs are stock?

Not sure of much at all. I only assume they are stock. The bike lookd like nobody loved it for a very long time. Before I get too excited about that I need to get the electrical system up to snuff so I can at least test them. I'll keep ya posted

What it appears to me is that the PO probably cut out a bad section. When they get old and hot they have a tendency to crack there at the bend towards the plug.

Unfortunately the wire is fused to the coils and would require replacing. But any coil from any year Rebel willl work, so you could give Jack a call and see if he has any.
