I agree with Jerry's response...........as far as running with a gas leak ? Safety reasons would say "Not recommended". If that leaking fuel by chance hit any hot spot on the motor, it could be disastrous........By what we're reading, your float is sticking and it wouldn't be that hard to remedy. One long shot you can try: Take a screwdriver and using the handle end as the "hammer", give the side of the carb a medium whack (please don't BASH away on it, LOL!) Sometimes a few medium raps can free up a stuck float, but if doesn't do the trick, then you'd really be doing yourself a service to simply have the float checked out again........and hopefully at no charge since they should do right by ya.......

SeaFoam might have loosened whatever was stuck to the needle making it seat properly. Anyway, keep an eye on it.

Yeah........thank God for SeaFoam. Back before the days of SeaFoam, we had to give the ol' carb a rap with a screwdriver handle to sometimes get the float from sticking......SeaFoam ROCKS! LMAO!

I can vouch for the "hitting the carb with a hammer" remedy *not hard of course had to do that last night, noticed my bike giving out a bit when trying to top out, figured it was something with the carb, got home, smelled gas, pulled the drain tube n it was leaking all over, so i drained the bowl and gave it a nice lil whack with a hammer, and bam, cured.

Good on ya and agreed.......it doesn't always work, but when it does, it saves having to pull the carb, so it's always worth a try.

FWIW, the closest thing to a hammer that I'll use on a bike is a rubber mallet or sometimes a wooden mallet.......unless there's no choice but to use a hammer and then it's with great care.......ballpeen/claw hammer and aluminum cases don't mix very well, LMAO!

On a carb bowl a plastic screwdriver handle works good and lessens the risk of broken parts.
