I got mine at NAPA back in Dec I thing. IIRC the electric ones come in to types, those that can handle LEDs without a load equalizer and those that can't. Someone correct me if I am wrong
The Blazer brand Hvy Duty Truck electronic flasher which is LED compliant sold at AutoZone (and others I'm sure) will work on regular sigs, LEDs, and mini-bulbs. Plus has a much longer life span that thermos. Using this flasher negates the necessity for a load EQ as well. Bb2ner listed the exact model # somewhere.
P.s. it is the FL-32 model and is 2-prong. Was $9 at local AutoZone. It will work.
Napa offers a turn signal and a hazard relay. Which do I need to get my turn signals working? I feel like this is a stupid question, but I see people getting the hazard.
NO such thing as a stupid question! I'm getting ready to need the answer to that as well!! If I EVER get brave enough to actually disassemble the lights to see what is wrong with them! I'm such a chicken!!! :surrender:
Man, I love this forum... I am doing some custom upgrades to my wife's Rebel and have bulbs in the front and LEDs in the back for turn sigs and the EL 12 relay worked like a charm...
B or X = +12v from battery side
L = Load or Lights that you want to flash
E = old current driven flasher mechanism ground
P = Pilot or Panel on the new one, usually electrically separate feed for the instrument panel indicator light. You can rewire your "dashboard" indicator light to run off this lead instead of the balanced bridge wiring.
