Hello guys and gals.

Let me be the first to welcome everyone to HondaRebelForum.com. This site has been a long process for me and will continue to be as such.

Many of you are here because another site has apparently been shut down, where at one time I was active as chopper_town_customs. And while I am trying to make contact with the respectful operator there, I am glad you have made your way here.

My intention with this site is grow a community of people who cant share information and ideas with one another, all while not being subject to any type of belittleing behavior and/or indecent treatment from any member of the site.

Myself and the moderator team will be glad to take any concerns you have and look at them to decide the very best solution not only for the members but for the site as a whole.

There are many plans for the future of this site, some of which involve a parts and accessories division partnered with some of the very best suppliers in the country and the world. These are step that are in the works and are taking time in development stage.

My goal here is to have the site a complete one stop area for any and everything rebel, from information sharing among members, to on site parts and accesories shopping. Of course these things take time, and will be added as they are complete. This site is only in the infant stages of operation and development with more than enough room to grow. The current platform the site sits on is 300GB of disk space and 15GB of daily bandwidth. Which can be easily added to should we outgrow our shell.

Thank you to the members who have been here for the ride, and thanks to the new members arriving for stopping in to see what we have to offer.

Hi there, New to the forum, but not to riding. I really like the 450 rebel, nice and low seat with enough gears to let it run on the freeway and keep up with traffic. Nice to read some of the questions and answers. jax

Please add the year and engine size of your bike(s) to your signature. This will help those trying to diagnose any questions you may post. You can do this by clicking on User CP to the left of the tool bar and scrolling down to Edit Signature. Thanks.

I have been here before, but here it goes again. I have been riding bikes sense I was 14 in Salt Lake City Utah when I was going to Jr. High school. It was a Vespa.
Didn't start riding again until I got out of the Marine Corps in 1969. Started on old Harleys and chopping them and being stupid.
Got into Honda Rebels about 9 years ago. First was the '85 to '87 250's then got my first 450 and it has been great sense.
I have done a lot of work on the 450's I have had. I am into getting them as cheap as I can and fixing them up and selling them. Haven't been able to find anything lately that I can get and fix up at the right price.
I keep looking.
I have two '86 450's.The one that I ride I got for $400.00. It had been sitting in a carport for 10 years. It was a real mess. Took it all apart and fixed it up and it runs great. It was owned by a older guy who bought it new and put 8,000 miles on it, and them got to old to ride. The other one I have, I got for $600.00 but I haven't got around to fixing it up yet.

I think what flitecontrol was talking about is "permanently" adding the bike information to your signature (see mine) so that when a person asks a question and forgets to mention what the bike is (which happens frequently) then we have a way to help without the "hey what year bike is it?" and "was that a 250 or a 450?"

I've just acquired a 1983 250 Custom that has sat behind a friend's cottage for 10 years- I've got it in the basement and am slowly scrapping away rust, painting and cleaning it...I've just finished a full restore of a Honda 1973 CB 450 K6 and find forums like these highly valuable. Hope to also be able to contribute and help others....
