I have almost the same story I'm 65 and started with a Vespa scooter to jr. high in Salt lake city Utah. Rode that tell old enough to get a car then went in the Marines in 1966 and started riding after I got out in '69. Only Harley's then and up until about 8 years ago when the Harley's became to damn expensive to play with and the basket cases were priced out of my reach.
Started with the 250 rebel and went to to the 450 about 4 years ago and haven't looked back sense.

The price of used Harleys has come way down. I'm currently looking for a '98 or older EVO Electra Glide as my first Harley. Jerry.
