Old rider new member in central FLORIDA

HELLO REBEL RIDERS!! After lurking and reading the forums for several months I thought it was time to join you all. My cycling history is long a lot of it I can't remember for some reason or other LOL. I had a friend who opened a HONDA store in 1974, in my spare time I would help him a set up the bikes this gave me the oppurtunity to ride every honda model made.Sold my 99 750cc nighthawk in 2006 it was too heavy to haul on my motor home and still tow a car my limit was 350 pounds so I bought a new 2007 HONDA reflex 250 cc scooter just could not get use to all that plastic and 13 in wheels, the only HONDA in that weight range was a rebel or night hawk, in my travels I found 2001 red rebel low miles in new condition so now it travels with me. When home it is ridden daily and my wife rides the scooter.I have added leather saddle bags, padded sissy bar, american cycle taller wider tinted w/shield and a BEAD RIDER seat cover [florida sun hot on old butt] still getting use to the small size with my 5'11'' 190 lb frame

Welcome to the forum. Graduated from Cocoa High School and used to live in Indian Rocks Beach on the Gulf Coast, all a long time ago. I hear you on the hot seat issue. Steering wheel would get so hot in the cage you would have to run air conditioner for many minutes just to get it cool enough to touch.

Greetings RV-ERRR,

Welcome to the Forum. Glad to see another Rebel Rider from the Sunshine State. Lived and worked in the Tampa/St. Pete area for many years. I like the less crowed country side, now that I'm retired. Lots of isolated riding roads, little or no traffic. Enjoy you Rebel Riding experence.
