Oh No Not Another New Rider
Before I post any info, I must post a simple thank you for the very detailed and amazing amount of information posted on these forums. I'm a new rider at age 36 and just bought a 1999 Honda Rebel for $1300 from a dealer in Tennessee. It had some problems but I feel like I got a steal on it and most all of the problems are done. All the members here must pat themselves on the back. Thanks to this forum I did the following
1. Finally found neutral after reading the tips. I can consistently hit it now
2. Changed out the battery
3. Changed out the headlight bulb
I'm looking forward to the MSF course and can't wait to get started riding it. THanks for all the great tips

Welcome to the forum. I am glad you were able to do the things that needed to be done on your rebel. When you get into doing all the other stuff that needs to be done for maintenance on your rebel, there are a bunch of good people here to help with what you want to do.
Ride safe

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forums, Dave! I'm new here as well, and a bunch of people posted some awesome advice in this thread: http://www.hondarebelforum.com/showt...here-3823.html
Feel free to read at your leisure, and be sure to post pics of your Rebel!

Welcome. You've found Rebel heaven. The more Rebel riders the better. Glad to hear you are taking the MSF course. It will help a lot. It helped me even after I had been riding on the street for 10 years prior to taking it. Jerry.
