New to us Rebel

Just picked this up last week. It's a 1996 with 1085 miles.

I was looking for one that had been dropped once or twice for my wife to learn on, but I couldn't resist this one. I think I'll keep it, and look for another.

Eric

Looks like you just took it out of the box! Welcome. If it was mine, I'd have to put it back in the box. It looks too nice to take on the road.

Welcome. That is indeed a beautiful bike. One of the prettiest colors I've ever seen. I'd sure hate to see that get dropped. The '96 is the first year of the "new" Rebels, and had an MSRP of $3999, back in '96. I don't know if any actually sold for that price or not. MSRP on my '04 was $2999, but the schmuck who bought it new paid almost $5000 OTD, due to over $1500 worth of bogus dealer "additional markup" charges. I got it in near new condition for $1800. But the color is not nearly as nice as yours, IMO. Jerry.

Thanks for the compliments, folks. Cruisers have never really done it for me, but I must admit, I like the lines of this bike.

Eric

I have owned 45 motorcycles, and currently have one of each and 2 cruisers. Besides my Honda Rebel and Kawasaki Vulcan 750 (cruisers, and the Vulcan doubles as a touring bike) I have a Kawasaki Ninja 500 (sportbike) A Yamaha XT225 (dual sport bike) a Honda XR400 (dirt bike) a Yamaha Vino 125 (scooter), and a Honda TRX250ES (quad) Jerry.
