New to the world of Rebels

I've been riding for some time---just after Noah landed the Ark---and I'm considering purchasing a Rebel 250 to tinker with and ride around town. I found this forum and am looking forward to gleaning info and perhaps offer some of my own ideas.

Welcome aboard.

Right after Noah landed? That's some pretty good riding time.
I've only been riding since there were 35 stars on the flag

35 stars? The 35th star was added in 1863 and the 36th in about 1865......remember it all just like it was yesterday....

Yep, back in '63 when West Virginia split off from Virginia during "The War between the States"

I think is was '65 when the 36th was added.

I think you will like the Rebel. It is easy to work on, easy on gas, and just plain fun to ride. There are so many mods that can be done and these folks have done a lot of very interesting things.
I feel like a slacker around these parts keeping mine fairly stock.

Welcome to the Forum. It's always great to have another Rebel Rider on this Forum.

I'm a stock oriented owner as well. I only add things but not modify. I'm financially challenged most of the time and can't afford to do much. But in the end, the stock Rebel will prolly be worth more and aside from that; I've had mine for over two years and it still looks like it came off the factory floor, nay, it looks better. Still hasn't seen a ride in the rain and the frame is still glossy black.

Some might call me a weekend warrior, that's OK.

+1 "buy it", there's no regrets in this purchase.

Buy two. That way you can tinker all you want, and have one to refer to when you have a screw left over.
