New Kid on the Block
Hey guys. I'm new to riding, and new to forums, so I apologize in advance if I break some of the rules. I just started riding on a Rebel 250 and love the thing, though it's getting small fast. I'm in Saint Louis, MO if anyone ever wants to get together for a ride. Just hit me up!

Welcome to the forum. Have you taken a basic riding course yet, or have one planned?

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yeah, actually I took the MSF course back in April and it helped a ton. I've been trying to practice the techniques on a regular basis and just realized my quick stops aren't quite what they should be. :S I'm still trying to make a mental note of the small mistakes I make every time I go out and the correct them. I'm not sure if that's a good approach or not, but I'm trying to do what I can to not end up as a vegetable. Any other advice you seasoned riders have is welcomed!

Do an internet search for motorcycle satety tips. There are lots of them, and many of them are very good. Be alert, assume the other person will do something crazy, and have an escape plan in mind.
