new here with '99 Rebel
Hi, my name is Harold, and I just recently bought a really nice '99 Rebel with 6200 miles on it. It was garage kept, and maintained well. I am new to the Rebel, but not to riding. I have had a few bikes before, but haven't ridden on a regular basis in a couple of years. I live in Portland, OR, and work for the cities transit system as a trolley operator.

Greetings rocketman,
Welcome to the Forum. I think you will enjoy riding the Rebel. I ride my 99 Rebel 99% of the time, as opposed to my other motorcycles. Have fun and enjoy your return to riding.

Welcome, rocketman. Might want to read Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough, and consider taking the MSF basic rider course. Both should help refresh rusty skills and techniques.

New to Rebels in Texas!!!!
I just bought a 2000 Rebel with 8300 miles. A silver one....a lady bought it brand new and never even had the title registered. She decided she wanted a Harley.... so my good luck....it was even garage kept and never dropped. This is my first bike and I have not been on one since i was 17. I turned 52 last weekend. My nephew picked up the bike and it will 3 weeks until I get it from him.
I enjoy the forum and I know that I will be back for more tips & hints.
