New guy here!

Hi, I'm Chuck from Las Cruces. I bought an '09 Rebel last week and have been lurking on here for a few days, and have already gotten a lot of good information from y'all. Right now my bike is stock, and all I plan on doing to it is adding some luggage to be able to carry small items. My previous rides include the Honda Silver Wing scooter, Honda Ruckus, and the VTX1300C. I'm looking forward to getting to know my rebel, as well as you guys on here.

Hi, Welcome to the forum. Lots of good people here that are more than willing to give advice on any questions you might have. Some good some great.
The Willie & max bags seem to fit the best on the Rebel. Check out JC Whitney they have fairly good prices on bags, also check out ebay for bags.

Ride safe

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your rebel. Are you looking for leather/leather-like or hard-shell sadle bags? I got my leather used at a pawn shop (when it was still cold and few people would ride) for 30 bucks. Didn't need a frame, since they "land" on the brake rod and the chain guard. I did have to relocate the turn signals.

I was actually looking for small enough bags so I won't have to relocate the turn signals. Are the Willy & Max compact slants narrow enough to do that?

I have a pair of willie&max bags on my 450 in my photo's. I have had these on my bike with turn signals and they do fit. I got them off ebay and they were not to much. JC Whitney has a good assortment of bags and not to much money.

Ride safe

Thanks, jax. Those are the places I've been looking so far. I was going to go ahead with Willy & Max or River Road brand...haven't decided yet.

Thanks for all the welcoming remarks everyone!

Mine are River Road fake leather slants. They fit up next to the stock signals. The tops brush against them opening and closing, but no problem.
