honda rebel north spain
Hi, I've just purchased a 2000 honda rebel, I haven't ridden this bike much yet, but the few rides I've tried with it were a real pleasure.
This is my bike and a small rider.

Welcome. My very first motorcycle, a Bultaco Lobito, was made in Spain. While it had it's problems, it was way ahead of the Japanese offerings at the time. Jerry.

Thanks, I didn't know that bultaco exported their motorcycles. Bultaco, montesa and Ossa were the eternal competing companies that made motorcycling to flourish in Spain, many years ago.

Bultaco was one of the main brands here in the '60s and '70s, along with Husqvarna and Maico. The only Japanese off road bike that was any good back then was the Hodaka. I regret never having owned one. We also had Montessa and Ossa.
The British tried to enter the off road market with slightly modified versions of their big singles and vertical twins, but these were designed as road bikes, and they were simply too heavy and clumsy off road, and putting high pipes on them couldn't solve that problem. Jerry.

I don't understand the world of motorcycles so good as you,I'm surprised that these brands entered in the USA.
My grandfather had a montesa, I don't remeber which model, maybe an enduro.
When he couldn't ride it anymore he thrased it
