Hi !!
Giving away my age, I have ridden for over 40yrs.
Owned lots of bikes. Liked em all.
Currently riding Harley.
Just bought a '96 rebel 250 for my 26 yr old daughter.
She is signed up for rider saftey course., She has ridden dirt bikes and quads for yrs now. We got her a permit & have been riding the back roads for a couple weeks now.
Rebel seems to be a good first street bike, she will move on to a 600 shadow in Sept.
My wife will inherit the rebel then. That is going to be scary as she falls off quads. My wife will take the rider saftey course with daughter, before she rides on the road.
Wish me luck & I have some questions on mods for the Rebel.
Mike

Recently got a 1985 Honda Rebel. First time on a bike in 35 years.
From what I have read, this is a good bike to get back in the groove with.

Welcome fxstc and LSCS1. There's a lot of experienced riders here that just want to get back into "the groove". Personally, I think the Reb is a blast! My opinion might be a little biased.

Greetings LSCS1,
Welcome to the Forum. Very nice choice. The Rebel is an ideal mount to return to riding.
