Hi there, Welcome to the forum. I am happy for you to have the 100 days of over 100 degree weather. Sounds like my dad who lives in Scottsdale Az. There are a bunch of good people here who will let the advice fly on anything you might be having some trouble with. Welcome again.

Ride safe

Welcome fellow Arizonan. I live in Chandler, which is right next door to Scottsdale. We have plenty of 115 degree days in the early part of the summer, then it gets much worse around the middle of July. The temps drop down to around 108 degrees, but the humidity goes up to around 80%. This is called the monsoon season. I don't see how it could get any worse.

I'm 51, have been riding since age 8, I am a fleet services mechanic for the City of Chandler, and have been since age 18. So far I have owned 45 motorcycles, and currently own 5.

I also do all my own service and repairs on my bikes. Nice side benefit to being a mechanic, though I became a mechanic to begin with because I am a vehicle enthusiast. I was born with gasoline in my blood and a wrench in my hand.

I often ride back and forth from Chandler to Yuma, and to San Diego on interstate 8 in the winter. It's to hot for that in the summer. Then I get up before sunrise and head north, to Payson, Show Low, Flagstaff, etc. We have some great motorcycle roads up north in the mountains, and I live just at the base of the mountains, so if I get up early enough, I can get up into the mountains where it is not so hot before it becomes an oven in the Phoenix valley. Jerry.

Welcome to the forum Jay! Just reading about all that sweltering weather has me sweating. I live in Illinois (near St. Louis, MO) where it's usually a pleasant 98 degrees, 80% humidity from mid July thru August.
I'm a newbe (since Nov.'09) at 67 years old, but I'm learning and this is a great place to get help and advice.

Hey Jay, a big welcome! Sounds like an excellent area of the country to keep a Reb out of humidity. Lol! There's a lot of good people here that seem to answer just about everything.
