Hello!
Hello Everyone,
My name is Josh and I am from Statesboro, Georgia. I am a Senior at Georgia Southern University and I bought a 1985 Honda Rebel last week.
I saw a guy a few apartments down in the parking lot with it and went to talk to him about it. He had it when he was in college and it had been sitting up for a year and was not running.
I put a new battery on it and it crunk the first time and the best part is that I got it for $100.
I look forward to getting some great info on this forum!
Thanks!
Joshua

Welcome Joshua. I just want to know why I can't find any bargains like that.

I'm a bit envious of the deal you got!
Congrats.

Welcome to the forum, Josh. You might want to get a can of Sea Foam and add 4-5 ounces to the first couple of tanks. That should take care of any deposits thay may have formed while it was sitting. Sea Foam is available at WalMart and many auto parts stores.

Josh: No offense calling you a thief, but you STOLE that bike, just don't ride it like that, at least 'till you get use to it. Congrats on such a great "steal" and welcome to the forum.
