Guess I should introduce myself

I've been posting the last few days but never introduced myself. Maxwel James from Savannah, GA here. I drive a 2003 Rebel 250, bought it brand new from the dealer(my proudest haggling moment, but that's another story) Mostly ride to work and back, the occational weekend joy ride with the wife on the back. Usually nothing over about 40-60 miles in a day.

Added a sissy bar with pad and leather saddle bags right after getting the bike, sure glad for the bags and the wife is sure glad for the bar. I'm currently investigating the possiblity of adding a sidecar, wife is against it but I think she would like it. And I've always wanted to put a set of highway bars on but just never did.

Welcome to the forum. A member here had a sidecar (jax? 450?) but it's probably sold by now.

Hi and welcome. I did put a sidecar on my 450 but my wife didn't like the feeling of being next to me and no control. to far to reach to let me know I was doing something she didn't like. Sold the sidecar about 45 days ago. Besides with no one in the sidecar the mountain roads around here are a real scary when you turn right and the sidecar comes off the ground and you feel like you are going to turn over on your left side.

Ride safe

2 of the most comfortable things you can add is a Protac riders backrest and a small crashbar with hwy. pegs.

Welcome. Personally, I would be too chicken to make any mods that significantly change the handling of the bike, but I do see the appeal of a sidecar. Let us know if you do it and attach pics!
