Cool custom rebels..

I just finished my custom 86 rebel. It is now a very cool bobber. It has powder coated cherry red wheels, a cut down trailer fender on the rear, and a solo springer seat. The bike is satin black in color. I've road it the past two days and have received several compliments. Very cool little bike

Ditto for me! Sounds like a good color scheme.

Yes, pics please. I have considered painting or powdercoating my wheels, but just the rims, which means taking the wheels apart and putting them back together. I have tried to paint spoked wheels before, and they looked good, for a very short time. The flexing of the spokes chipped the paint off where the spokes cross, and also where they cross the hub flange.

I've always wanted a matte black bike, with red wheels, and wide whitewalls. Unfortunately, wide whitewalls are not available in stock Rebel sizes (and I want to stay with the stock sizes) and it would be a real PITA to paint or powdercoat the wheels the way I want. Jerry.

Sounds like a cool bike. Some pictures would be great if the site will let you upload them.

Ride safe
