Hi Twister! My motorcycle hiatus was a little longer than yours, almost 30 years! It's quite exhilarating getting back on and going down the road, as you found out.

Yep, small world. That's quite a coincidence.

I lived in Arkansas for 4 years, when I was much younger, first up north in a town called Marshall, then in Fort Smith, Waldron, Mena, and finally a couple of years down south, in Star City. I have been through Jonesboro, but don't remember anything about it. I have a number of relatives in that state, mostly down south, in the Dumas, Gould, Star City, and Mcgehee area, but have not been back there in many years. Jerry.

Sounds like a plan, let me know next time you're gonna come by Horn Lake. Have a fun and safe ride.

I've taken both the beginners and experienced riders classes, and it is fun, for most people. It was very frustrating for a few, but they probably didn't belong on a motorcycle anyway. Motorcycles are not for everybody. The MSF course is the best thing you can do for yourself and your family, along with a decent full face helmet. Jerry.

I believe that I can always learn something new. I've worked in the drilling, construction, and mining industry for 16 years and notice that once people convince themselfs they know everything is when they start doing dumb/dangerous things. I once told a drilling rig Foreman "30 years of doing something wrong, doesn't make it right" about a drilling procedure. I do have a full and a half helmet. I kinda like the full better because of my contacts. Too much wind in my eyes and they get dried out and blurry. Tight glasses and goggles become foggy at stoplights. So I guess I'll stick with the full not just safety, but for eye comfort. Although I like the looks of 1/2 helmets better.
