Having gone back and looked at both pictures more carefully , I see the fender is properly mounted.

Yeah, that fender gave me a bit of trouble, but that's cause I took it off the donor too quick and kinda forgot to double check its orientation. Lol

Finally got around to painting the rest of the chrome black, blacking out the engine, and od the light and speedo. Im now trying to figure if I can OD the engine case with normal OD, since I cant seem to find high temp od. I'm loving not having any chrome anymore...

Coming along very nicely! I was a military brat, and one thing I remember was all the rolling stock during that time period had some sort of alpha/numeric (property?) number stenciled on the machine in white. If interested, you might be able to do some research on the system used and add it to the bike in the appropriate area.

I've been looking for gaiters for a lil while. The big thing is, I hate ordering online, so my radius of parts places keeps getting farther and farther away. Lol.
The 25mm cans in back are gonna be repainted the same darker green that the front can and bag and etool canvas is, that should help tie that together. The whole middle of the bike just looks sooo black. That's why I was thinking about greening the case. And on a lot of ref shots, the legit wla was a lot of od and parkerized.
I've been trying to check on stenciling, but could only find breakdowns of the ww2 system by vehicle class. Transportation, supply, command, recon, etc. Nothing too motorcycle specific. I'm thinking its obviously recon, but it would be awesome to have a lil more info before I break out the paint.

Looking good. The black motor really pulls it all together.
