Where it's cut there should be 2 baffles left. I had a set that was cut like that and they sounded terrible. Ended up cutting the rest off and installing some shorties for a deeper, less weed eater sound.

Okay, so you recommend that i just cut the pipes off, before the silencer and put on some shorties?

You could first try cutting them like those and see if you like it. You'll have to experiment till you find a sound you like. My shorties sounded good but still too loud. I ended up putting freeze plugs in the end of the mufflers and drilling the hole to match the size of the stock pipes. This gave me some back pressure anong with a nice mellow sound.

I got a different set of pipes to mess with and left my stock set alone.
