then again, why is this HD on a Rebel forum.
I could see portions of this bike being from a 450 but then again... can someone explain the V twin. For my Rebel --- I used HD electra glide parts throughout and have more plans to do so moving forward. My next project will have sportster parts.

I can do that!
Its on the forum because the poster put it there.
Its on the forum because the poster wanted to show the look of that particular HARLEY to illustrate the what they wanted their REBEL to look like. Maybe if you read the whole thread, you'd come to the same conclusion. Its that easy, Bub..

But if you read the caption above it...... "I love this, only a rebel" you'd think they were saying it's a rebel.

gimme a freakin break...are you guys seriously that bone-headed?
If you had read through any of the thread you could see the discussion of STYLES. Henry gets it.
but hey, thanks for setting me straight on the costs associated with stuffing a v-twin into a rebel frame before I dive into such a thing,
It's a '67 shovel, the guy's name is "hatch" on the jockey journal...he's got a helluva collection.
why is there a pic of an HD here? because I put it here...why is there an HD in my pics? because it's my old bike...hey look, my old buell is in there too, and if you look real hard you can see my boat behind the sporty

Here's my two cents, up front.
1. The wording was ambiguous, at best, and obviously caused some readers to think it was a Rebel, at least in part. Not all forum members have an encyclopedic knowledge of motorcycles. Many people here, myself included, started on a Rebel and it is/was our first bike.
2. With that understanding, I think we should be a little more tolerant about what others have to say before we make disparaging remarks. Those that didn't know it was a Harley do now. Those that already knew; well it should be no big deal. One of the things that make this such a great site is the slack we cut each other when we are dealing with those who are not yet as knowledgible as others. Let's keep it that way.

I think the finger is being pointed at me on this one, but if you go back "and actually read the thread" I too knew it was a harley. The fact that "only a rebel" was written above it made it fun to disect.
If a talented rebel owner wanted that bike, I wouldn't call it impossible. Pointless maybe, but nothing is impossible other than licking your own elbow and winning an arguement on the internet.
