ebay...seller is Steadfast Cycles, I don't see the mufflers on there all the time (if you want to contact the seller, he could probably help you out). Kinda pricey...the inlets are 1-3/4", so I cut the mufflers off just before the welds to leave some extra girth for them to clamp to. I couldn't find any reducers that would go from 1-3/8" all the way to 1-3/4". They fit nice & tight & the straps bolt to the lower shockmounts perfectly. The sound is a very nice growl, I have the baffles out - same sound with the baffles, only quieter.

If I get some extra cash I may get the pipes that run on the right side (macs, I think) & run the twin shakers up on a sharper angle together...I kinda like them the way they are now tho.

I see he has some in 1-1/2" now...you can probably use reducers w/ those. There's also a set that is not-so-nice-as-new going for $10 right now

thx for the link. those macs would look good, but there's something really nice about the symmetry you have now.

I do agree w/ you...the upswept side was my first love (I figured the cocktail shakers would be perfect w/ the mac headpipes) before I installed these, but I'm really happy w/ them. Maybe eventually when the headpipes rust through.

I'm also digging long, low fishtails...the gold metalflake happens to be a favorite color on a bike too (I was considering gold flake scallops w/ red pinstriping on the black tank before I went w/ these decals).

Thumbs up Hey DaPeach....time to pick your brain :)

Hey there DaPeach,

Firstly, I dig your 250 bobber. The wife has seen yours and said...."that's what I want to do to mine". So with a few personal changes, I'd like to find out a bit more about your bike and the mods made if I may?

Regarding the 'hard tail' you made (ie: removing the springs and replacing with solid struts)....how has the ride been? rough or o.k. with the sprung seat?

What about that rear guard, where did you get that and what is it made from?

Did you make any other engine mods apart from the stacks?

More questions to come if that's o.k.?

This is the the project so far....just started stripping it.

Oh.....and speaking of seats. Where did you buy the solo sprung seat from, I'd like to get one.

Cheers,
Rone
