Cell Phone Holder
Go to a bike store and get a bottle bracket holder.... and buy a phone clip.
separate the clip...
Drill a hole on the top of the clip...
attach the clip with the screw provided with the bracket..
install on Rebel..
Nice eh.?
Now don't talk while you drive!!.... ..at least I see if someone is calling and then I stop and return the call when I am safe parked somewhere.
About $11.00 bucks

Very cool & innovative! Also saw your other mods.....saddlebags, rear turn signal relocation, dual horns, very clean work!
Between your's & Snorey's mods & ideas, the 250 & 450 Rebs may continue getting some primo up-grades
Very well done!
Ride Safe.......

Hey chemanuel!
I went to my local bicycle shop today and they didn't have it. The young guy behind the counter looked it up in thier book. Good thing it has pics as I spotted it right away when he turned to the page it was on. He said he had never seen one of those before. They are ordering it for me. It will cost me $8.00. As I am going out of town in a couple of days, I told him I would pick it up next week. He looked out the door and seen my bike and asked me what I was going to use it for. I told him I was going to modify a cell phone clip and use it to mount it to the handlebars of my bike to hold my phone. He kinda smiled and nodded his head. ROTFL!!
Thanks for the mod posting....I have been trying to figure out for a while what I was going to do to mount my phone. Your mod is perfect (and inexpensive LOL!! )
Now, I can't wait to pick it up and install it!! Thanks Again!!

Man that is a really sweet and simple mod. I just got a Bluetooth GPS receiver to use with my phone. Now I have to have this clip so I can hookup the phone and have GPS on the motorcycle

Anybody else got some pics...the photo links seemed to have died...
I just got a Bluetooth GPS for the mobile phone as well and I'm looking for mounting ideas...
I'm gonna try the in-ear phones to see if I can hear the damn thing when I'm riding. Normal earphones let in too much road noise.

I got one..
On my switch pods I left a mirror bracket on for a reason.
The lever assemblies I bought have mirror mounts already so the idea was to use this extra mirror mount that remains (left one) as a place to make a bracket that will hold my digital camera. (tiny one with 7.2 megapixels, fulle video/audio and 4-gig card) I ground the other one off and polished it smooth along with the cheesy levers it once had..
My Camera:
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Cybershot...60510100057-20
This way I could start the camera and go.. taking video's as I drive along in NH and you could ride along with me when it's done..
Any of yours could work by making the plate go UNDER the existing mirror that's there already holding down the mounting plate..
The base of every camera has a 1/4-20 threaded socket. take say a 6" long x 1" wide 3/16ths bar of steel and drill a few holes.. bolt it down to the pod and bend to a nice level shape.. mount camera and go..
powder-coating is optional of course..

thought I was bad about resurecting old posts...
seriously, i must've sheared off the same mirror mount. I left the brake side one on, frankly because I didn't want to risk cutting the brake fluid rez. I plan on using that to mount a platform for camera, GPS or whatever...
