Bobber?
I really like the look of the rear ends bobbered out. I am excited about making my bike a bobber. I like the kits they sell on the blue collar site. I think I may go custom with the lighting but does anybody have any tips or threads that can help do this right and safe? I am capable of doing this but, would appreciate any tips or guidence before starting. Also, I think Im going apes instead of a dragbar. thanks

Also, is the pipe wrap just for looks or is there a history or purpose to it?

Exhaust wrap helps keep parts of your body that contact the exhaust from spontaneously combusting! Will still burn the fire out of you if you touch it, but may not permanently brand you like bare metal would.

Exhaust wrap started as an old hot rod thing, used for performance to keep engine and exhaust temps down, thats why a lot of performance cars still use it. As for use on rebels, mainly for looks and to keep from burning yourself

Exhaust wrap idea was to keep the heat inside the pipe thus speeding up the exhaust flow. This is what I've heard.
