Blue Collar Bobbers

Just wanted to let you folks know what great service I got from BCB.

I have their Rebel exhaust kit on my bike and the nut on the back of my right side muffler, that holds it to the bracket, came loose. It booger-ed up the threads so I could never get the nut tight enough to hold the muffler securely to the frame bracket.
Called to ask them if I could just bolt up another EMGO Shorty, or if there was something unique about their mufflers. The guy I spoke with said that there is something unique about their mufflers. They weld on a bracket to reinforce the stud that holds the muffler to the frame mount. They do this because the Rebel vibrates so much.

He then said that he would send me a new one free of charge, and 3 days later I got a box from them with a new muffler, a new tube of High Temp RTV, and a reducer. He suggested that I use Loctite on the new one and to check the nuts regularly. Even though this was totally my fault, they still really took care of me on this.

Its nice to get confirmation that their mufflers are indeed "Emgo Shorty's", as this topic has been debated several times. Thanx for the post.

Even better to hear that they are willing to go the extra mile.

"Ride Safe, Chop Safer" Motorcycles are not unsafe. However; they are extremely unforgiving of inattention, incompetence, ignorance, and stupidity.
Dismantling, sawzalling, and rattle canning does not make a bobber.
Those are STEPS toward customizing, not customizing unto itself.
