Started out with a basket case pretty much, needed new gaskets, cleaned carb, bondo, ect. ect. Good thing I'm rather handy sometimes.
Here's a picture of the bike after I bought it, bondo'd and laid some oldschool paint (spraypaint) real quick to get a mock up, don't ya just love that rear tail light all taped right there?
Wasn't feelin the red, so I decided to go for a "Metallic Caramel" wanted to go for a jade color, but it seems they discontinued it for Rustoleum spray paint. Happy with it tho. So back to my "paint booth".. which is a tree for the time being. How redneck is that?
Time to clean the carb, sorry I didn't take pictures of the step by step, I just wasn't thinking. Those damned gas fumes. Next build I will.

Look at that sweet leaky oil. mmmmm, oil.
Here's a mock up, License plate was put on back bag for time being until I side mounted it
Next up, I made the seat, found a seat off another motorcycle, chopped it up, shaved the foam down, and then mounted it, wrapped it with a Panama Jack straw hat (it was in the garage and it just clicked, looks good with the paint I thought)
Added a little switch to cut the tail light off (if you're in hot persuit) just a nice little addition that gives it an even more oldschool look. They just don't make bikes with these anymore, and I wonder why? Gotta love that straw hat seat.
Painted the carb cover.
If your pipes are dirty or have light rust or oil damage, get you some Colonel Brassy, works wonders, passed down from an older biker to me, and if you don't know, now ya do.
Now time for pictures.
Rear fender is off of a boat trailer, which is primed and painted but it didn't react well with the paint already there so I took a sander and sanded it until it looked like what it does, thought it looked cool and vintage so I strapped it back on and decided it doesn't need paint. I just dig vintage bikes. Hope you enjoy this as much as I have. Time to ride.
