Mad!!!!!!!

So I had my bike in a parking lot and was gone most of the day from it, I get back to the parking lot and see that my bike has been moved. I had the forks locked, so it had been turned about 45 degrees. I had thought that maybe someone had tried to steal it, and realizing that the forks were locked they gave up. So i didn't think much about it. Then as I go to unlock my forks I happen to look at my handlebar grip and see that its got a big gash on the end of it, I thought WTF???? As I looked more, I saw that my exhaust had a small dent in it and my rear blinker had the lens cracked.......So someone managed to tip my bike over in the parking lot. I don't know if they were trying to steal it and tipped it over because the forks were locked or what. I thought a car had maybe run into it and there was no evidence of that. Luckily it didn't dent the tank or do any other damage, so its not a big deal, but the fact that some dumbass tipped my bike over for whatever reason REALLY REALLY ticks me off, and not have the decency to leave a note or whatever and tell me about it. People are such F#(&$ING PRICKS!!! Their just DAMN Lucky I didn't see it happen........

Yup, some folks really don't care about others or their property. But then when you're stranded beside the road, a complete stranger can stop and become your friend in need. Shame everyone isn't like that!

Ohhhhh! I would feel the same as you! Did the parking lot have a security camera?

I'm mad at reading this, and it wasn't even my bike. You must be fuming!! Is it just me, or are more people shirking personal accountability than in years past?

I think people just don't give a flying crap in general over other peoples property. Like I said I don't know if someone was trying to steal it or if it was just an accident, and someone bumped into it and knocked it over, but I would at least have the decency to leave a note and tell the person what happened and leave a number to get a hold of me if there was a problem. But people just don't care, its not theirs so why worry about it. That's what really makes me mad about it.

If there were witnesses or camera survailance then you could get them for leaving the scene of an accident which carries a heafty fine in most states.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I am sure you feel violated and you have every right to be mad. However, moving on and chalking it up to experience is the only thing that can be done. I am a true believer in what goes around comes around and I am sure whoever did this to you will get theirs in the end.

I had one bike (a gorgeous '85 Rebel) stolen from a parking lot, I also had an old DP bike knocked over in a parking lot. Only damage to that was a $30 throttle assembly. Here in AZ, parking lots are private property, and unless there are injuries involved, the police will not even respond to an accident in a parking lot. Even if it were caught on camera, and the guilty person identified, the police would not get involved. You would have to take that person to court and sue them. Traffic laws are not enforced on private property. Jerry.
