I saw a redone 85 seat that has a nice passenger pad and even an integrated little backrest....any chance it bolts right onto the new Rebels?

Someone here posted a couple months back that the 80's Rebel seats won't fit the bolt holes for the newer generation Rebels. But they redrilled holes or something and made it work.

85'-87' rebel 250 seats fit exactly the same and interchange fine. I have an 08' seat set right now on my 86 with no mods.

The person said it was from an 85 Rebel 500?!?! I think they might mean 450, but were there 85 450cc bikes??? If so, do I have to worry that it won't fit?

450s were only made 86' and 87'. If the bike it came from was an 85' it should be a 250 rebel. 450 rebel seats do not fit 250s and vise versa. Hope that helps.
