Weight limit on a 1986 250?

Anyone know the weight limit on the 1986 CMX 250? My father wants to ride my bike but he's a pretty big guy and I am not sure it will hold...
I bought the bike w/ no manual so I cannot refer to that

Honda's website doesn't really say for the new models, and I can't find my manual either. But from personal experience with myself, wife, riding gear, plus full saddle bags, my reb hauls over 300lbs. Speed is limited at that weight, I only get 60 mph out of it fully loaded like that. With just me on a summer day, no extra gear, no leathers and empty saddle bags I can tap out the speedo. Don't know if that helps, hopefully someone can give you the OEM "recommendations"

Max safe loading according to the placard on my '87 is 345 pounds. I've been slightly over that on occasion (heavy passenger and lots of gear) I was able to get up to about 65 mph

Put your bike's year and size in your signature.
It helps others help you.

I can think of one or two times where I've for sure pushed 345 lbs on it, coming home from the hardware store with WAY to much stuff. Can't say I was operating in a safe manor that day. But made it home without incident.

For the heavier load, crank up the rear springs preload adjustment. Do both sides the same. at 300 pounds, he'll need them set to 5. You on the other hand should be fine with them at 2.

Manual specifies 345 lbs max load. Check tires to make sure the load limit is good for those particular tires and stiffen the shocks to max.
