Tomorrow is the day!
All week long, the weather has been freaking AWESOME for riding! I'm seeing bikes everywhere, but mine is still up on jack stands in the garage, with the battery charging on a shelf.
Well, I'm taking tomorrow off from work and bringing that sucker down. It will be cloudy, 20% chance of rain, high of 60. Lube the chain, drop the battery in, pump up the tires, and hit the road! Five months is a long time to wait. Riding past frozen lakes is a good payoff.
I have a song running through my head right now, so I looked it up on YouTube. If you're around 40, you'll probably get a laugh. I did:

The song fits! Enjoy the ride, and be careful out there!

Actually Bob Seger's "Turn the Page", or Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild" is more my style, but enjoy your ride, and ride safe, so you will have many more. Jerry.

Thank you, safety first, always. I guarantee Steppenwolf will be in the brain once I get rolling. The Pointer Sisters is just what popped in during this anticipation phase.
In the video, the dude with the pimpy hat breaks me up. The "80's-ness" of the whole video makes me laugh, really.

I came from the '60s and '70s, there is some '80s music I like, but absolutely nothing that has come out in the past few years. I only listen to recorded music, nothing on the radio I want to hear. I recently found some original concert footage on YouTube from Dobie Grey doing "Drift Away''. I have listened to it and watched it on Windows Media Player about 1000 times. Awesome.
A few years ago, we had gotten a temporary helper from a temporary agency, and while he seemed to be a pretty decent mechanic for being 20 something, he brought a boombox with him, and was listening to rap crap. I told him to turn it off, or change the station. He turned it up louder. I went into the office, told the boss what happened, he came out and fired him on the spot. Rap crap tends to bring out violent feelings in me, directed toward whoever is playing it. Jerry.

Jerry: I get the same response. i think that's the purpose of it - to keep feeding the violent feelings.
Twitch: I know how you feel, brah! Enjoy the ride.
