replacement for 1987 CMX450 fuel tank

Does anyone know a definitive answer, can you replace the stock fuel tank on a CMX450 with a 250 extra capacity tank? Does anyone know where to get a CMX450 tank. I have a leaking one and need help. Thank you

You can coat the inside with caswell epoxy liner and stop the leaks.

The 250 tank is not that same as a 450 tank. 450 tanks are getting hard to find and expensive. If your tank is salvageable, that would probably be best.

If they want to line it, insist they use epoxy, such as Caswell. Caswell Inc. - Epoxy Gas Tank Sealer

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

I used the Coswell on mine. took a day and worked great no problems so far I just rolled past 1,000 miles since I sealed it. I had three holes in the bottom (pin holes).
