Rebel 250 v. Suzuki GZ 250

Just completed my Florida riders course to get my endorsement and the training school used Rebel and Suzuki 250s. I chose the Rebel to begin with but after about an hour of "power walking" the rebel and having extreme difficulty my instructor put me on a Suzuki. I loved it! Because I'm a tall guy these things are much more comfortable for me. The pegs are lower, the seat is bigger and it rides higher than the Rebel. I'll be honest it seemed to handle better as well. Sorry but I think I need to switch for the sake of comfort and safety.

Anyone else with this experience? I don't know much about Suzuki's are the comparable to Rebels?

You need to get what works for you. Suzuki makes great bikes and I have had a few over the years. My last bike before the Rebel was the C90 and it was almost flawless.

By all means get the bike you feel more comfortable on.

"Ride Safe, Chop Safer" Motorcycles are not unsafe. However, they are extremely unforgiving of inattention, incompetence, ignorance, and stupidity.
Dismantling, sawzalling, and rattle canning does not make a bobber. That's called an "ANCHOR".

hi
I've ridden my son's gz 250, it feels longer than the rebel and will suit a tall guy with long arms.

If you like Suzuki check out the TU250X. Looks like the old Honda CB series from the late 70s plus it has fuel injection (big plus)

Of course they still make bikes like that, why couldn't Suzuki make bikes like they did 40 years ago when Harley still makes bikes like they did 80 years ago?

Suzuki

Somebody said Suzuki makes a good bike, I have a Suzuki tc100 dual sport 1974 model 2 stroke. I've had it for the past 19 years and was rough on it in my teens, its ugly and a lot of stuff doesn't work but i still ride it on the farm, it will still go about 55- 60.

how does the value of the Rebel compare to the value of a GZ250, when comparing same years?
