Turning it on when I'm shifting from second to third is another matter!

Now, see? I KNEW it would be something extremely simple and "common sensical--which mean it makes sense" to quote George W. Bush. I just couldn't think it up on my own. Guess that's why I'm not an engineer. lol

Don't feel bad..........the 250 Reb has 6mm exhaust flange studs that sideline bikes regularly and a plastic threaded choke fitting going into a metal threaded receiver.......a few Honda designers could use some "engineering" courses.......

That is what I was thinking. My dad and I stared at it for a while before we saw a little arrow in it. hahah
And so if all the gas is in one tank, then Reserve would work for the whole tank and run till dry? As opposed to just the .7 gallons? I think that makes more sense now.

Yes, the fuel is one 'tank'. There is a tube with a screen around it that goes up into the tank. When on 'normal' operation the fuel flows into the tube. When the fuel level reaches below the tube then you would need to switch to reserve. If you have the petcock on reserve all the time then there is no 'warning' (that's what the reserve function is supposed to do, kind of like your idiot light in a car) letting you know that you only have about 30-40 miles to find a gas station.
