Honda not ending the Rebel!

Hi all. Just got back from my Honda Rep in Tucson and he told me Honda will be bring the Rebel back in 2011 or 2012.To good of a seller to end! as soon as they sell off there overstock of 09s.They are building a new plant that can build say 100 Rebels then stop, Restart very fast and go to a different model then switch back, very quickly to any of there line up. Not like the old plant.
So do I buy on Ebay or New 09?
Here are the numbers new in Tucson. bike $3060.00
Fright $ 275.00
Licence $ 86.18
Tax $ 303.49
5 year services plan $ 500.00
road service... $ 100.00
-----------------
$4,324.67

or say $3000.00 on Ebay

Heads or Tails Me...

Greetings Azcycleman,

Are you proficient at wrenching, or does somebody else do the wrenching?

I'm glad to hear the Honda is going to bring back the Rebel.

I wonder what they will change this time.

Sure hope they bring it back.

Is the ebay bike a new 09? In this economy, adding (IMO) bogus charges like freight and getting soaked $500 for a service plan you should not need with regular maintenance and riding, and paying $100 for road service that many insurance companies include at no cost in their basic policiy, is a poor business decision on the dealer's part. In this economy, passing on a bike sale is foolish. Bikes are a luxury/toy, and folks (well most folks anyway) don't have to buy them! How are they going to get rid of the glut of 09s if folks don't buy them?

If the ebay bike is comparable, take the add to the dealer and see if he will match or beat the price. It only costs $500 or less to have a bike shipped to you.

Sounds like your Tool Box is full. You have the Rebel covered in Spades.

I say get the 09' minus the extended warranty. You won't need it cause anything that might go wrong will do it in the first free year of warranty.
Watch out on some of those ebay deals at stealers. They still hit you up for freight and dock fees usually.
Did he hint as to possible colors for 11' and 12'?

The glut of 09's would have been gone if they hadn't jack up the MSRP so freakin high.
