Does the BOTM even happen anymore?

Just curious!

It may pick up again when BigJ, the administrator, has time. He's back in school and studying leaves little time for anything but the highest priority stuff.

Yeah, it's been awhile. To me, it never really meant much the way the rules were, since stock bikes were eligible. Anybody can have a stock bike. So far all my mods are bolt on stuff added and removed, which almost anybody can also do. I think the bike should have to be a true custom, with custom fabrication and modifications, or at least have some very serious and creative bolt on modifications. Jerry.

If I remember right, you just had to upload a photo of your bike. Every month 5 bikes were picked randomly. I don't think it was quite fair though as stock bikes went up against bobbers and custom jobs.

Yeah. there's always one in every crowd!
When this was an ongoing thing, there really weren't many heavily modded bikes involved. The prize was nice; a gift certificate from Jack if I recall. I miss it as a monthly event, but there are RL events like school and family life that get in the way of hosting events for our amusement. That reminds me. I better check if I've donated to the fund to keep this site rolling lately. I may be overdue.

LOL! Yeah, I miss it too. There were some nice looking bikes for sure! There were a couple of months that had me torn between which bike to vote for.

And thanks for reminding me to donate. I'm pretty sure I'm overdue.

Why not have a mod of the month? I have made a couple cool mods and some motivation is all I need to get em posted up.

I run Member of the Month over at genvibe.com, another guy runs the Vibe of the Month. http://forums.genvibe.com/zeroforum?id=109

Prizes are simply the satisfaction of being recognised by your peers as being the most helpful member or having the nicest looking car (bike in this case). We have rules as to how long you have to wait before you can win again and such, it's really quite an easy process.

Why not have another member here simply run it. Have other members nominate bikes during the first half of the month then vote during the second half. Limit of 5 choices, only 1 nomination per member per month, from heavily modded to bone stock let the people decide what they like best!
