Battery Tender

I was just wondering who uses a battery tender during winter storage and who just disconnects the battery and who reccomends which one or other ways of keeping the battery life during the winter. Thanks!

I used a tender over the winter. My garage is lightly heated and the bikes are kept closest to the warm wall.
Either method will work. I would guess it depends on your storage situation.

Put your bike's year and size in your signature.

There's a lot of factors that would determine battery tender useage. So far I don't use one. But I also ride until the salt hit's the road. And as soon as it's washed off, I'm back on. I also keep my bike in the basement for winter storeage, so there isn't a lot of temperature swing.

I rotate the Tenders throughout the year. Plug them in, check in a day or three, and the light is green, then they get moved to other bikes.

Both my bikes have tenders, and when they are sitting for more than a few days, they get plugged in.

You can buy a battery tender with all the needed wiring for $20 on many online stores.
