Question 100/90/18 front tire question...

So who all runs a 100/90 front tire? I want to put a set of Dunlop D404s on my 250 Rebel. I took it in the other day and got a 404 rear in the stock size and was going to get a front tire as well. But when we pulled the front heel off and put the unmounted Dunlop up in the fender, it really looked like it was too big. I was a bit surprised at the difference in the 100/90 and the 90/90 tire.

So if you run a 100/90, what brand and model do you have? Did you have to do any mods to the fender?

FWIW; The 404 on the rear made a big difference in how the bike rides. It fairly glides now.

I have a Dunlop D404 100/90-18 in the front, and a Dunlop D404 150/90-15 Wide White Wall in the rear. They both work great, and I'm very happy with them. Although I removed the fenders from my bike so I didn't have to worry about it not fitting. I just worry about running over road kill. Hahaha.

D404 100/90 on my front. Very slight rub at the left rear of the fender - limited to the brake cable guide clip-on. I just bent it out (1mm) using wood shims, didn't need to raise the fender by elongating the 4 mount holes.

Feels a bit more steady in the front - less worries over small groves in the road.

I have a 100/90-18 up front. It's a tight fit. I tweak my fender in a similar way to Socalmacus' method.
