Maybe the guy with the nail gun was aiming at the flies and you just got caught in the crossfire......
Any up-date, Guba ? Not sure if every place would patch a side wall, but sure seems like they might and hope you've gotten it set back to rights.......

I put a brand new tire on. There's a tire shop 3 miles from the house, but I haven't taken it in yet. I'm pretty sure it's trash, others's have told me that shops won't do side walls too.

Understood.......pretty sure some shops are cautious about liability issues. But at least you've got new rubber on there and are back on the road!
(If you can find someone willing to professionally patch the other one, you might even have a spare, but it probably wouldn't fit in the saddlebags, LOL!)
