Wild Windy Ride!

Anybody else ride in 50mph winds? I just did and it wasn't fun...scarey really. Had to get to work and was hit from the side with severe winds...took all I could to hold the Reb steady, was doing about 55 mph and I was being blown about pretty good, hard to control, slowed her down to 40 and finally felt more comfortable. So I would say, from recent expieriece, if you encounter strong winds coming at you from the side, slow down you should regain control.

Yep, the wind wanted me to change lanes, even when I didn't want to.

Yup. Just brought back a 'new to me' BMW R850R from SD. 40+ mph sustained winds (gusts 50+), rain, t-storms, hail, snow and the temp never climbed above 51F. Got blown into oncoming lanes more than once. Glad we only take the back roads when we travel. Worst trip ever. I alllmoooossssttt considered buying a trailer.

I also live in NJ.........we got those strong winds Saturday and Sunday........plus freezing temperatures here in the Northern part of the state. I left the bike in my shop and did maintenance!

I've done it before. A situation like Deeg's, cold windy rainy nasty type of day.
It isn't the most fun, thats for sure.
