This gets funnier the more I think about it.
I was cutting the grass last night, left the lawn mower sit while I got the tarp to cover my Rebel. A census taker has been interviewing me and my neighbors for about a week now and rides a Harley FatBoy to get around doing his census job. He saw the bike uncovered, came over and started talking. He was really amazed that a woman my age would even consider a motorcycle, blah blah blah. The ususal bike chit chat. THEN!!! He told me I really should get louder pipes. Of course my bike was quiet, it wasn't even running! He heard the lawn mower sitting behind it!!!! I can't imagine any similarity of the sound of a 2005 Honda Rebel to a 1988 Toro walk behind lawn mower. Maybe his helmet is too tight.......
