Cool Stop and chat a while.

I got on today and I felt like I was in a ghost town. I challenge every one to participate more. Stop in and share a spell. For those of us with our project bikes the more we probe each others minds on a public forum like this the more were able to resolve our issues. make it a goal to stop and check each listing at least once a day to add your two cents. with today's economy more people are turning to motorcycles as a means for transportation. The more intrest people have in the rebel the more readily available after market parts will become. there is an excellent oportunity here to get people involved in chopping these bikes like cell phones and everything else this is a cheaper alternative to the OCC or WCC style bikes.

Anyway that's my opinion regardless of anyone else I am going to keep my honda and continue chopping till I can't think of anything else to do which will be tuff caus I can imagine alot. I'm already working on a serious engine mod and more way more that I can't discuss till I have more finite plans. My feelings are that if you can't double an engines horse power than you arent trying hard enough LOL. Live it up The Dogg!

Dogg:

I tried to post a link I thought might inspire you, but cagie pointed out it gives an error message when you try. The best way I can tell you to get there is go to vn750.com, go to the electrical section, find a post titled The stator rebuild (by Hizzo), go to the third page, and see post #24. The link is there. Story of a guy who modified his ride for over 40 years, made most of his parts, REALLY increased the hp, set records, etc. Fascinating read.

Interesting setup, I like the girder. I was originally thinking girder but still like the springer styling better... hmmm. whats up with that 'shock' setup. Be interesting to see the frame setup on that one...

Understood!

I plan on making it a ritual to check the forum at least once a day, like checking e-mail (at least until school starts up again)...

I also check the forum at least once a day, usually 2 or 3 times. But there just really isn't much going on here right now. I joined a couple of Yahoo Groups Rebel forums but there isn't much going on there either. Same with the vn750.com forum, and the VN750 Yahoo Group.

There is another Rebel forum at rebel250dotcom (it won't allow me to post an actual link) if you can deal with the attitudes over there. It didn't work out for me. But they have plenty of traffic. So much in fact that I couldn't keep up with it. I'm not putting the site down, it just wasn't for me. Many members here are also members over there. Jerry.

Hi Jerry,

I rather just hang and talk with a bunch of regulars than with attitude and a ridiculous amount of people. I'm personable that way

I think I've seen rebel250, but I like the layout of this site's better.
