Riding Rebel on the dragon
Has any one ridden the dragon on a rebel ? Do you think 250 Rebel was enough? I am going to go in June looking for pointers. Bob

Yes, and yes. I believe cagie just got back not too long ago. The speed limit is 30 and enforced, so the Rebel should have no problems.

short answer: It's a very twisty run in the Smokies.
I did it on the Rebel back in '88. After that, I bought a windshield.

Google Tail of the Dragon (aka Dragon) and you'll see.

Bob, there was a landslide on a section of the road a while back. They were trying to git it fixed asap, but you might want to do a search before you set out.

That's a long haul from here, but I'd sure like to ride it some day. Maybe when I hit the lottery, and I can afford to take a long road trip.
