Well my military TS 100 was fun, so now that that is all done, I found another project to try. I bought this 7?? G5 from Kijiji for $200. It looks like crap but surprisingly runs really good!!
I wanted to try building a bobber this time, and thought that this would be the perfect chance. i am using a bunch of the rebel bobber builds as refferance, so thanks guys!! this is when i first got it home.
I started by taking off the front fender and back luggage rack to start looking at the lines of the bike and get a mental image.
I then loosened off the handle bars and turned them up, and cut off the cross bar. It looked better, but realized I want to go to drag bars on the front.
Then took off the "home made seat"

to have a better look at the frame lines and where to start cutting.
I started by cutting off the back frame extension over the fender, and unduing the shocks for a measurment for the rigid frame pieces.
i found the perfect set of drag bars and mounted them. I also measured and cut the rigid frame pieces, and am going to weld them on tonight hopefully. I will post another picture tomorrow of the progress. Hope you enjoy the build and get some ideas of your own!
