Cool Dang it!

Seriously what do you say to a guy in this situation? I had a friend once (no really I did we were younger then) and he had everything (you know those guys right?) anyway I was over at his house helping him do something to his bah ha when all of a sudden it didn't go his way and he began beating the ever lovin @(#*$^ out of his sweet ride. My mouth dropped as I watched weeks of my hard work and expensive parts (I would have donated testies for) were being thrown around with explossive force everywhere until his tantrum was done. The dang thing wasn't even mine and I swear to god age 16 I left, went home and cried like a baby. I couldnt help but think of how lucky he was to have what he did and I couldnt afford his lugnuts. I have lost my temper a few times with projects but have never run out of cheap things to break if it was really needed. Congrats on controling your temper. Take a deep breath and maybe touch up paint can help conseal it? But keep in mind we are our worse critics and generally we have to go up close and point out to everyone our woopsies cus their too small for any real person to notice. Hope thats the case anyway.

I know... I used to be bad about throwing tamtrums. That's why I have been married five times.

You are right about us being our own worst critics. After I went back out to hook up the fuel line (before I pulled a real bonehead and took off for a ride...) I looked at it again. Yes it is very noticable and yes it can be sanded down, touched up and rebuffed. but that takes time. And it just flat made me angry that I did that.

C'est la vie, tommorrow I will fix it.

Such things happen to everybody. I once spent weeks building a VW engine, getting everything just right, only to find out as I was about to put it in the car, that I had left out the distributer drive gear. I just sat there for a long time, finally got up and went in the house, opened a bottle of Coors, turned on the TV, and watched it for hours. The engine just set their for about a month, and I finally decided to tear it all down again to replace the gear. It took about 2 weeks to tear it down, install the gear, and put it all back together again. I was determined to do it right, and not just throw it together, but I was still bummed out about it, so I only worked on it for a little bit at a time. I'm a lot more patient than I used to be.

Married 5 times? Once did it for me. I am not one to repeat a mistake. Jerry.

Ohh My it sounds like the evening I had and with nothing quite as complicated as removing a gas tank. I was trying to put a licence plate cover on and do you thinkg the screws would line up, not for 3 hours they wouldn't I finally gave up and will try again. Good thing I was in the garage because the air was blue, (I am married to a sailor) Second marriage, going ok due to the fact that he works out of town for two weeks a month.

LOL... seems like it took me a while to find someone who tolerates me, I am really lucky!

You guys might thing I know a lot, but most of it comes from years of trial and error. And I will be the first to admit that I lack in a lot of areas, patience being the major one. That is why I have several BFH's hanging in the shop. If it don't fit, bang it into submission!

As for "frip frappin snag daglin dufinschmirtz", sort of came from a cartoon, I think it was Penellope Pitstop, where the dog would "curse" Snidley Whipflash character... So instead of cursing, I resort to cartoon cursing...
