Seems like it may be work up for possible colors. I'm sure Honda releases multiple colors for reactions.
And I have never heard that Green Bike Superstition. Looked it up and I can see how it started.

"Supposedly, a green painted motorcycle is bad luck. The legend has it that the Harleys used in World War II were often sitting duck targets, and many military riders got their butts blasted off them. And since they were painted Army green, it eventually translated into modern folklore." - Motorcycle Philosophy.org: motorcycle-superstitions

What you've said is one of the two origins I'd heard. The 2nd one (that I haven't been able to confirm and is probably myth) is that the Triumph Motorcycle Racing Team had their bikes painted "British Racing Green" and lost 5-6 riders in one season due to accidents.

Looked it up last night and found another interesting take on the superstition.......a car racer from Scotland, the famed Jim Clark, was on the British racing team called Lotus Elite. That team also used British Racing Green on their cars. He drove for them from 1958-1968, sadly dying in a crash while racing in 1968 at the age of 32. Jim's racing career is considered legendary due to his many wins and aggressive driving ability.........Sad ending for such an accomplished man.

It's pretty much take your pick and it IS only superstition after all.................and as Nathan has mentioned, green may be considered GOOD luck as in "the Luck of the Irish"

Choose the color of your liking and Ride Safe........
