Is that the old Hennepin Avenue bridge, by any chance? If so, I knew it well back in the day. I went to school at De Lasalle for one year, and had to walk that thing everyday because the buses didn't cross it. That was one cold walk in the winter!

Good Luck Cagie...And I think I need some nice tools for my bike as well. I have only had one ride in the dark so far I think a flashlight is a great Idea. And yea that metric stuff.

Oh, no, huh-uh. The Hennepin Ave bridge had the big Grain Belt sign next to it. Lowry bridge was farther north on the river, so on the western side of Minneapolis. Either way, it must've been awful to cross that bridge in the winter. Hopefully drivers weren't throwing cigarettes at you, too.

I'm hoping that Cagie is as prepared for his second interview as he is on his bike and that all goes well.

I have had bugs, bats and once encountered a gator in St. Pete Fl. Cigarettes are nothing. Once I ran over a Rattlesnake Dirtbiking(a verb). Worry about car doors on city streets. Lost a friend that way. bugs can be fun, I was chatting up a girl in a bar in St. Pete when she started turning a bit green. A Love Bug crawled out of my beard and dropped on the bar. I knew it was a lost cause so I ate the bug. If you have ever riden in Florida you know what Love Bugs are.

I've never seen a rattlesnake ride a bike. There must be some serious control mods involved.

Haven't had anyone throw a smoke at me but some folks just don't care. I feel like rubbing their noses in the mess they make, sort of like training a puppy.
I've been tailgated and cut off but if you watch the idiot after the incident they usually are rude to everyone not just you. That's why there's road rage and that's why we have armoured gloves! LOL
I have a friend that carries a bag of ball bearings just for tailgaters, maybe.........
