I'm in Chicago and might be interested in the whole bike.

Did you sell the tank yet?

I still have everything, and I am going to hold off for just a bit on this thing. The wife really likes the bike, so I am going to pop the head off, check/lap the valves, possibly do seals while I am there, take the cylinder to get honed, and put a new set of rings in it. Jacks Rebel Warehouse will probably be supplying my head gasket, and everything else can usually be made. If after that it doesn't get up and go, I'll likely either part it out completely or sell the whole thing. I'd rather do the whole thing, just so I don't have parts of a bike sitting in my garage for months, but whatever works. I'll keep you guys informed!

could I move this thread and retitle it since you re not going to sell at this time? You can always start another after you have gone through it.

Why was this moved from the classifieds? Am I missing something?

Don't part it out. It looks way too nice. Throw it on ebay and get around a grand for it.
It's way nicer than the 450 I built for my wife. I'd buy it right now for myself if money wasn't so dang tight.

Well, I tore it down to the crankcase, and I am going to be fixing its issues. This is going to make a really awesome bike for the wife, and one for me to enjoy when I don't feel like riding my 79 CB750F (which isn't often!).
