1986 honda rebel 250

I have a 1986 honda rebel 250 and i need help. The bike was running perfect yesterday and still is but the engine dipstick says there is no oil and when i start it it smokes the crossover pipe is leaking and when i start it oil spits out of the crossover pipe and gets on my right foot. what do i need to do. Im getting pissed off about this i just bought the bike 3 days ago it has 35000 miles but the engine runs strong. HELP!!!!!

I hope you didn't start it with the oil too low. Did you change the oil when you bought it? What color is the start up smoke? White, black, something else? The proper way to check the oil level is with the dipstick unscrewed and just resting on the threads.

Might want to pull the plugs and post a picture of them if you can.

The start up smoke is black. Havent changed the oil.

I am going to do a oil change asap. Im not sure if it is burning oil as i didnt check when i bought it. I checked the spark plugs and they were in decent shape but i dont think they have ever been replaced.

Sounds like you need new pipes. Jack might have a used set.

I dont think the oil is burning in the combustion chamber because the engine starts right up like new and the plugs are not oily just the normal gas residue

Oh, I didn't mention it in my first post, but check the oil with the bike level, not leaning on the side stand.
