My son just up graded to a Goldwing and gave me his 1986 Rebel. He said it was an early Fathers Day gift. He's young and wants something bigger, faster, and travel friendly.
I learned to ride in the 50's and was a BSA fanatic. Now that I'm older, the Rebel will reaquaint me with riding which I miss a great deal. I don't want to break any speed records or travel any long distances, so the Rebel will fill my needs.
It has a few things that need ironing out so I'll be looking to you for help and answers to my questions. I'll begin ironing the problems out when I finish restoring the antique bandsaw that I'm working on. (about a week).
Thanks, Gene

I only live a short distance from Maxton, N.C. and for a fleeting moment, I considered stripping it down, Hopping it up and using it as a platform to see jusy how fast one can be made to run. Gene

They don't "hop up" very well.

But, the motor is durable.
